David is co-founder and Managing Partner of Shepherd Kaplan LLC, with primary responsibility for the Institutional Consulting practice.

David has over 17 years of experience in investment research, product development and consulting to the pension industry. As head of the firm's Institutional Consulting practice, David sits on the Investment committees of numerous publicly traded and privately held corporations, were he consults on investment policy design, monitoring regimen and fiduciary compliance. David has an extensive public speaking background, annually lecturing before thousands of investors in the areas of financial and investment management.

As a Managing Partner, David is also responsible for the development of the firm's investment research and fiduciary consulting resources. David co-chairs both the Investment and Fiduciary Committees of the firm.

David holds a degree in Economics and Finance from Boston University.
